Hallo, könnte sich jemand bitte meinen Text anschauen (vor allem Grammatik). Vorab will ich sagen, dass es um einen Tag in einem Bildungszentrum geht.

When we arrived there on the second day, we had to go to our maintenance groups immediately. On that day, there was another specialist, so we had to introduce ourselves to her. After introducing, we got two sheets of paper. On the first one, there was only an eye and on the second one, there was a whole face. She said we had to paint makeup on both the eye and the face. In my opinion, my pictures were very ugly and it was very difficult for me because I can‘t draw well and I have never worn makeup before. After that, we grabbed our hairdressing heads which still had curlers in their hair and we had to remove them. They needed to be left in their hair overnight so that a volume winding would form. Luckily, it worked! Then we had to create our own hairstyle on our hairdressing head. The specialist said my hairstyle was pretty good. Then we could style and wash each other‘s hair again and X wanted to try  volume winding again as it didn‘t work on the previous day. On that day, it definitely worked better but she had to dry her hair with a hair dryer for about one hour because her hair was still too wet to remove the curlers from her hair. I was so sorry for her. Finally, she did it after one hour and her hair looked gorgeous, so in my opinion it was worth it. In the last 50 minutes, we could wear makeup but of course I didn‘t want, so I observed my classmates again. On the one hand, I think I could work as a hairdresser in future because it‘s interesting what customers tell you while I‘m styling their hair and it‘s also interesting to try out different hairstyles but on the other hand, this job doesn‘t match to me  because I‘m scared of doing mistakes because for example I could cut off a customer‘s hair and I don‘t want to touch stranger‘s hair.

I was only observing my classmates who were painting their nails, yet it was very interesting because they they were hilarious. After that, we were allowed to wash each other‘s hair and also to do a hairstyle by using for example a hair curler and straightener. We washed X‘s hair and we did her a volume winding. Sadly, it didn’t work because we did it wrongly.“

Wäre jemand so nett und könnte jemand einen kurzen Blick auf das Englisch Reading werfen und mir sagen wo Fehler sind?

Was bedeutet: Are you Pouring on the Pounds" auf deutsch wie kann man das verstehen?

Have to steht doch für eine Verpflichtung, genereller Natur. Und must drückt eher die persönlichen Gefühle aus. Müsste dann nicht must stehen?

So as we are working on a joint project on unequal distribution of income, I have come upon on an interesting article in the "Stern" magazine. The author Walter Wüllenberg states his profound opinion about the class mobility in Germany and how this has changed in the last years. In the following I will point out the main arguments and their argumentation.

Firstly, the author states, that the German inequality of class is not comparable to the American Class inequality, as the German discussion about class was about the under class and their immobility, whereas the US discussion about class was always accomplished by the prolific idea of the American Dream. This shows in the social spendings of Germany too, spending more than half of the income of the estate, incomparable to the US with only a fifth of theirs.

Henceforth, the author states that the class inequality in Germany much rather shows in the not existing middle class than in the poor estate of the under class. While economy has grown hugely in the last decades, the wages have nearly stagnated, showing that economies growth could not bared by society as a whole but only by the rich. Thus, the rich have gotten immensely richer, owning most of the capital of the country, and the rest just held their class. Yet the divide between the classes has grown and their nearly is no in between. This is worth the criticism because the growth of the economy is due to the work of the society as a whole, yet only few bear the fruits of the hard work, being quite unfair.

Kann man den Ort auch an den Satzanfang stellen? Zum Beispiel in dem Satz: ,,In der Gedankenblase könnte sie darüber nachdenken, bis sie ohnmächtig wird.“ Da muss man dann den Ort, also: ,,In the thought bubble, she might be thinking until she faints“ nach vorne stellen, weil dann der Sinn des Satzes ja verloren gehen würde, weil ansonsten würde es ja heißen, dass sie in der Gedankenblase ohnmächtig wird, oder?

Wann genau gehen Sätze mit might und could bzw. nur mit might, wenn es ,,könnte“ bedeuten soll. Man kann ja sagen ,,He might meet his friend at the mall next Saturday“. Bei dem Satz: ,,If you want to go out, we could surf the Internet together.“ Da soll man ja nur das could benutzen, oder? Wieso und kann mir jemand sagen, wann genau man was um Sinne von ,,könnte“ benutzen soll?

Das kann irgendjemand sein. Wir müssen nämlich danach eine Mini Präsentation so circa 5 min über die berühmte Person machen in Englisch. Ich hatte als Idee Mahatma Gandhi im Bezug auf Großbritannien und Indien. Habt ihr eine bessere Idee oder soll ich es bei ihm belassen ?

Geht der Satz ,,Pay for your purchases at the cash register“? Weil in den Lösungen stand, dass der Satzteil for.. ganz nach hinten müsste. Wieso?

Geht der Satz ,,This blouse might be on sale“ anstatt could? Also ,,Diese Blue könnte im Angebot sein. Und geht der Satz: ,,We might hang out at the mall this weekend“?

Sind die Sätze richtig übersetzt?

Ich weiß, dass man es benutzt, wenn man etwas Bestimmtes meint, aber wie ist es denn, wenn man etwas übersetzt, wie ,,Die Titelseite des Buches ist schön entworfen.“ Soll man dann da ,,The cover of the book is beautifully designed“ oder ,,Cover of book is beautifully designed“ schreiben? Ich schreibe morgen eine Klassenarbeit im Englisch Unterricht, jedoch habe ich kein plan wie ich das schreiben muss wo ich anfangen muss und wie das alles strukturiert ist. Kann man umgangssprachlich auf "How are you?" "am fine" sagen und das "I" weglassen? Wäre das Umgangssprachlich, slang oder klingt das wie im Deutschen ein Satz wie "Will gehen einkaufen", also falsch?

Im Deutschen sagt man ja gerne Begriffe wie Interessenkonflikt. Aber im Englischen würde man conflicts of interest sagen. Gibt es hierzu eine Regel, wann man im Englisch das "of" nutzt?

In den Lösungen stand, dass der Satz ,,When we had finished our work, we saw that we had forgotten an important part“ richtig wäre, aber wäre es nicht richtig, wenn man ,,When we finished…“ sagen würde? Wieso soll das finish ins Past Perfect gesetzt werden?

Ich lerne gerade das simple past, wieso kommt bei dem Satz „The weather wasn't good“ was ? was benutzt man ja bei I,he, she, it aber voran erkenn ich jz dass, das Wetter I, he, she, it ist? Bei Personen ist mir das klar aber bei Gegenständen und so noch nicht.

Wenn wir eine Antwort als Bestätigung für eine Frage über eine schlechte Sache brauchen dann verwenden wir das Form in dem 2 Satz:

1.You're coming out of a restaurant where you have just had a really tasteless meal with a friend...

That was a tactless meal, wasn't it ?

Aber wenn wir eine Antwort für eine Bitte brauchen dann verwenden wir das Form vierten Satz

4.You need a neighbour to water your plants while you're away.

You couldn't Water my plants while I am away, could you?

Heyyy, also ich hätte eine Frage und zwar zum Englischen zu Relative clauses. Und zwar geht es um den Satz: "That is the teacher whom my sister like a lot." Und ich habe gelernt, dass die notwendigen Relativsätze nie mit Komma geschrieben werden, also ist dies dann ja ein notwendiger Relativsatz. Aber geht denn nicht trotzdem: "That is the teacher my sister likes a lot."? Ich finde das klingt total sinnvoll und nach einem contact clause.

Ich bitte um liebe Antworten die mir wirklich helfen 🙃

wenn man sich in einer summary auf die Vergangenheit bezieht, benutzt man ja das present perfect, ansonsten immer das simple present. Kann ich das bei einer nachfolgenden analysis, die auf denselben Text bezogen ist, auch so machen oder muss dann eine andere Vergangenheitsform wie z. B. das simple past benutzt werden?

Ich brauche unbedingt Hilfe ich muss eine speech analysis in Englsich schreiben aber ich schaffe es einfach nicht ich hatte keine Zeit und ich muss meine Hausaufgaben vorlesen!!

But she also loves drawing what she is doing since the kindergarten. She likes to draw with the colours red and blue, because they are her favourite colours.

The text is about the US and its immigration history. Today it is called a nation of immigrants. But thousands of years ago, only Native Americans lived there. The famous railroad that we know today was built by immigrants from Japan and China who came in the middle of the 19th century. A lot of German people came to the US but some of them left because they were discriminated. When some of them stayed, they started a new life mainly in Pennsylvania but later they decided to start a new life in Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Nebraska and Iowa. Ellis Island is known as a museum in New York today but in the past it was called "The Isle of Tears" because when immigrants wanted to go through, they had to prove their good health and they had to be able to write and read. When they could neither read nor write and didn‘t have a good health, they were sent back home. The people who wanted to immigrate into the US had a lot of problems since, in 1924, the US government passed "The Immigration Act“ and people from poorer countries weren‘t allowed to go to the US. Today, if people want to live in the US, they need a greencard which allows them to live and work in the US. People are given 50000 greencards all around the world each year, so there‘s a chance for everyone to immigrate to the US.

She showed me the airport and different cities. At first, we went to California where I explored different cities, such as Los Angeles and San Francisco. I went to Disneyland there and it was so much fun. I also saw the Golden Gate Bridge with its fantastic view. I even saw real Native Americans on their reservations! They looked very friendly at me but I am also sorry for them that they have to live outside. I am very happy that I‘ve immigrated to the US. After exploring California, I went to New York where I have been living now since Wednesday. It‘s so cool here because when I came to New York, it was already late in the evening and because of the darkness, I went to Times Square since it is known for its bright lights. I went to a restaurant there where I ate the popular pizza slices and they tasted very delicious. After I had eaten, I was exploring Times Square while it was pretty dark and because of the bright lights of the advertisements, it was so gorgeous and I felt like it would be my home town so that I‘ve decided to stay here in New York forever. I live in an apartment in New York with my new friends as long as I don‘t have enough money to buy my own house. I work in the Empire State Building where I work as an official and I really like living here!“

They were forced to leave their home country by their parents because they wanted to start a new life and they were only teenagers, so they weren‘t allowed to decide whether they would stay in Kazakhstan or go to Germany. I was born in Germany and I can‘t speak Russian. I really like Germany because of the people but if I had to leave Germany, I would definitely go to Spain since it is a very interesting, warm and gorgeous country. I can‘t stand cold days, so it would be a perfect country for me. There are several beaches and unique sights such as the castle in Madrid. But nevertheless, a war or bad government would have to happen so that I would leave Germany because then it would be really bad to live in Germany as you wouldn‘t be treated well. But if I really had enough money, I would try to immigrate to Spain. I would hope that the people would be friendly to me and understand that I wouldn‘t be able to speak their language at first but I even think that I wouldn‘t be able to speak Spanish fluently even if I learned it for several years because it is a difficult language. I would also hope that the life would be great there and I would make new friends. I think I would also have a lot of problems for example missing my family and my friends and I would have problems with speaking their language. I would be afraid of talking to them since perhaps they would make fun of me or would talk to me in an unfriendly way. It would be a complete change for me and I would have to get used to new habits for example going to another school. On the other hand, it would be great to experience new adventures and explore new locations. You could go to a beach every day! So, on the one hand, I would really like to go to Spain but on the other hand, I would be really afraid of leaving my home country because of the problems that could "destroy“ my life. I am not sure whether I stay here in Germany or go to an other country.“

Ich muss demnächst eine Präsentation zu der Leitfrage vortragen. Nun bin ich mir unsicher mit meiner Gliederung. Gibt es Verbesserungsvorschläge oder Korrekturen bei der Gliederung, die ich ergänzen könnte. Ich weiß nicht genau ob die Gliederung schlüssig ist und ob die gliederungspunkte in der Reihenfolge passen. Unter Punkt 2.2 werde ich verschiedene Biografien nehmen bzw. Biografien über Marilyn Monroe die ich analysieren und vergleichen muss in verknüpfung mit dem Feminismus. Mir ist noch unklar was ich genau bei 3.Feminismus hinschreiben könnte, vielleicht welche Definition von Feminismus und inwiefern die auf Marilyn Monroe zutreffen oder nicht zu treffen. Könnte da jmd helfen…Danke im Voraus !

Hey, Also erstmal muss ich klarstellen dass mich diese Lehrerin hasst, ich und sie haben seit Jahren Probleme miteinander aber in den letzten Monaten ging es wirklich richtig zu. Aufjedenfall habe ich meine Englisch Klausur (Analysis) letzt geschrieben und 5 Punkte bekommen, was ich auch nicht anders erwartet hätte bei ihr. Ich hab mit ihr morgen ein Termin vereinbart um über die Klausur zu sprechen. Ich weiß aber, dass jeder meiner Punkte von ihr irgendwie verteidigt wird auf ihrer Englisch Lehrer Fachsprache, die ich nicht verstehe und dann muss ich nachgeben. Ich weiß, es ist wirklich sehr viel verlangt aber ich bitte jemanden von euch darum, falls die Lust dazu besteht, den Text sich durchzulesen und mir zu sagen ob 5 Punkte berechtigt sind und ob ihre ganzen Anmerkungen daneben auch berechtigt sind. Ich wäre euch so so Dankbar. Mein Text und der Text den wir analysieren sollten sind

Habt ihr Tipps wie ich herausfinden kann, ob es sich um einen Satz in der Present Perfect handelt, oder ob es sich um einen Satz in der past simple handelt?

Present Perfect: I've collected 57 Funko Pops since last year.

Past simple: He went for a walk an hour ago.

Das es bestimmte Signalwörter gibt ist mir bewusst. Auch ist mir bewusst, dass bei einer bestimmten Zeitangabe immer die past simple verwendet wird.

Last year I flew for two weeks to Australia.

Aber mir fällt es trotzdem schwer herauszufinden, ob man nun die Past simple oder die Present Perfect braucht. Habt ihr noch Tipps?

There are about 2,5 million Native Americans and most of them live on reservations. When white immigrants came to America in the 17th century, they fought against the Native Americans because they wanted to get their land and after they had won, most of Native Americans had to leave their land and they had to live on reservations. Today, they still live on reservations and they are very poor. They don‘t have any jobs, so they try to earn money by keeping traditions such as the powwow. It is a celebration of American Indian culture. They sing, feast and dance there. Native Americans such as the Cherokees are one of the most popular Indian tribes of the US and they live in the South of the US. Another popular tribe are the Navajos who live in the Southwestern of the US. In 1883 there were 4 million black Americans and they didn‘t have the same rights as white Americans, so people like Malcolm X fought for the rights of black people. Today about 40 million black Americans live in the US. As you can see, the US had a lot of problems in the past but it is still a very cool nation.“

Her parents had to emigrate because of the potato famine in Ireland in 1845. It is very hard to live on the ship as it is crowd, cold and the food is poor but on January 1st, 1892 the ship reaches New York and Annie is the first person who leaves the ship and arrives on Ellis Island. She even gets $10 as a reward to be the first person on Ellis Island and she had never got so much money before. That‘s the reason why she is so happy. Now, there‘s a statue of Annie on Ellis Island.“
