Warum kommt da ein s an das Verb?
Hallo Leute, ich habe mal eine Frage zu einem Englischen Satz wo ich das mit dem s am verb nicht ganz verstehe...
Ich weiß ja das bei he, she, it ein s an das verb muss aber warum kommt bei dem Satz: Der Hund frisst und die Katze und die Maus schlafen.
The dog eats and the cat and the mouse sleep.
Also warum kommt an eats ein s und an sleep nicht?
Ich hoffe mit kann jemand helfen

Das gilt nur bei he/she/it (Einzahl) - DER Hund, DIE (Mehrzahl, nicht ein Zahl) Katze und Maus

weil the dog - it (3. Person Singular) ist, the cat and the mouse dagegen they (3. Person Plural).
Das ist im Deutschen, wie du ganz richtig geschrieben hast, genauso.
Der Hund frisst, die Katze schläft, die Maus schläft, aber die Katze und die Maus schlafen.

PS: im Voraus
"The dog eats and the cat and the mouse sleep."
"the dog" ist im Singular (ist nur ein Hund), und "the cat and the mouse" im Plural, das sind ja 2 Tiere. Das ist bei uns ganz genauso:
"Der Hund frisst (Singular!), und die Katze und die Maus schlafen (Plural!)."
Der Hund ist Singular, Katze und Maus sind 2 Wesen, also Plural. Mit Pronomen wäre der Hund "it", Katze und Maus wären "they".
"Eats" ist das Prädikat für "it", den Hund; "sleep" ist das Prädikat für "they", die Katze und die Maus.
the dog = it
the cat and the mouse = they
Damit sollte es klar sein.
