It was founded in 1624. 170 languages are spoken in New York. Big Apple is the nickname of New York city. The flag is blue,white and orange with the mirror of New York. New York has more than 8 million Inhabitants. There are 6000 Skyscrapers in New York most world wide. The 5 Boroughs are Bronx,Queens,Brooklyn,Staten Island and Manhattan. Manhattan is one of the most important,trade,financial and cultural centers in the world. The legendary landmarks include skyscrapers,Empire State Buliding and the Central Park. In the theater district of Broadway his the Illuminated Times Square. 200 museums and 500 galleries are there. Grand Central station and Penn station are 2 stations in New York. New York has 476 Subway-Stations. From that Subway-Lines 27. The Time difference is 6 hours to Germany ..................... postkarte auf englisch berichtigen

Hallo :) Also ich schreibe am Freitag eine Englisch arbeit & ein teil davon wird sein eine postkarte oder brief (e-mail) auf englisch über new york zu schreiben. Ich bin aber ziemlich schlecht in freien texten schreiben. Ich hab mir als übung schon etwas vorgeschrieben, damit ich in der arbeit nicht hoffnunglos da stehe. Leider weiß ich nur nicht ob das alles so richtig ist.

mein text bis jetzt lautet:

Dear Anne,

We stay in New York for a week. It's very big and it's one of the best places I have ever seen in my live. Here are so big buildings like skyscrapers and the empire state building! Anne you don't believe me, but i know what I write. We were there. On the empire state building. The view is too brilliant for words! You can look over the whole city! It's incredibly great. At Wednesday we were in the central park. It's so beautiful there. I must show you my photos, witch I have taken there, when I’m home again. But know I’m still in New York for 4 days more. Oh and I was in china town yesterday. It's so crazy there. The people are very funny. At least we were driving at our hotel with the subway. That wasn’t so funny. There were lots of people and tourists who push me. i was happy as we were back at the hotel... Tomorrow we will look at the statue of liberty and at the last day, we will go to the stores on fifth avenue. We will go window shopping there ;). For buy it cost too much money :(. Hello there, today I’m going to talk about me and my family. I will start about how I grew up. My Name is Dimitri Chpakov and i was born in the November 18^th 2004 in Moskau. Moskau is a Part of the Region Central Russia. I stayed there until I was one year old. After that my Parents broke up and I moved to near ofTula that’s in Central Russia too. I went to the kindergarten there, I maked many friends there like Sophie or Patrick. I don’t have Contact anymore. My Family have for long time there a big Disco. My great-grandma opened this disco in the 1970s and closed at 2010. The Reason for closing is that the many People from the old times are get older and not want to make party. I have very nice memories to this time. After the end of 2011 I moved to Germany in the Region Saarland. I lived in a big Village and I was going there to the primary School. After I finished my Primary School, I was going my half fifth grade there to the School in Saarland. I maked many friends and I still in touch with some of them. After my start of my childhood I moved again. Now I am living in Baden-Württemberg in a Village Named Althütte. My mom found her love there and now I live with her boyfriend and my dog Rocky tighter at moment I’m trying to finish my Hauptschulabschluss after that I will go take an education and will start getting ready for my realabschluss. Now I want to tell you something about my Family. We are an quite medium sized family but we are all parted and don’t live near. My family is spread across Germany and Russia and because of that we barley can meet. But when we meet its for big events like Weddings. At the moment my Mom is fourty year old and works one of the bossed of the Paulinpflege. I can’t really talk many about my Dad but I try tell you something about him. My Dad is now 42 Years Old and Works at a big company as one of the bosses too. I can’t tell you what company it is. I finished now my Presentation, I hope you liked my Presentation.

Wortwitz HIMYM nicht verstanden...

Es gibt in Staffel 1 Folge 3 (Frauen, Flieger, Freiheit) eine Szene mit einem Dialog zwischen Barney und Ted mit einem Wortwitz den ich nicht verstehe:

Barney: "Ted, Ted, Ted, sieh her! Du gehst ständig in die selbe Bar wie ein Monotoni. Ich aber bringe Abwechslung, ich mach die zu Stereotoni."

Ted: "Ich will überhaupt kein Toni sein. Mir geht es um Routine und die finde ich gut."

Barney: "Eh Ted, wie lautet die erste Silbe in Routine?"

Und dann verdreht Ted die Augen, gibt nach und steigt ins Taxi.

In Englisch sieht der Dialog so aus:

Barney: Ted, Ted, Ted, right here. You keep going to the same bar. You're in a rut. And I am a rut-buster. I'm going to bust your rut.

Ted: It's not a rut, OK? It's a routine. And I like it

Englisch?

People are already failing at finding the correct definition of 'confidence.' Confidence is so much more than faking or a result of a pretty face. Confidence is simply having trust in oneself. It's being aware of one's strengths and weak points. It doesn't mean you are drooling over yourself 24/7 or acting like you are the coolest person on earth. Communicating your weak points, not in a cheesy way, is clearly showing a great sign of confidence. Maintaining faith in yourself and never backing down, whatever someone thinks of you, is confident. I am not here to teach you how to become confident because it's a heavy and long progress expecting ups and downs to achieve. But keep the difference between being pretty, successful, or an excessive show-off far from being confident. You can't even just be born confident; it's a long-term learning process. But if you are attached to it once, you go all ways with it!

Dr. Martens zum Anzug anziehen?

Hallo,

ich muss wegen meiner Jugendweihe so einen bedepperten Tanzkurs mitmachen und im April ist der Abschlussball davon und dort herrscht dann eben Anzugpflicht und da ich nicht noch irgendwo her so Kindersärge auftreiben will wollte ich wissen ob ich meine kirschroten Docs dazu anziehen kann. Den Stiefelschaft hätte ich natürlich dann unter der Hose. Der Anzug ist grau und dazu ein kleinkariertes hellblau-weißes Hemd.
