How to connect a Bose Subwoofer to a AV Reciever?

I bought a Bose ACOUSTIMASS® 300 because I thought I could connect it to my AV Reciever and make my Hometheatre better. Now is my problem that the Subwoofer tries to connect to a Soundbar which I do not have and doesnt use the input from the sub in chinch cable.

Does anybody know how I can fix that? Otherwise it would be 700€ for trash

OMG, you didn't really pay 700€ for that thing? Give it back or sell it and buy a sub from SVS or Klipsch like the SVS PB100 for 600.

It most likely doesn't work because Bose loves to lock down their products to be only used with their own stuff.
