Im direkten Konflikt mit Eonwe sah Sauron gar nicht gut aus, sondern hatte die Hose gestrichen voll (Of the Rings of Power);

Ich hätte Eonwe als gleich mächtig eingeschätzt ich hatte es jedoch so in Erinnerung dass Sauron sich ihm vorallem ergeben hatt da das Her der Vala beiweitem mächtiger war und er schlechtweg Angst hatte, aber als Eonwe dan sagte dass es ihm nicht zusteht über gleichrangige zu urteilen und Sauron sich dann doch lieber vom Aker gemacht hatt. Und dann kommt noch die Tatsache dazu dass Eonwe niemals ein Herscher war
