Viel zu viel Zucker in American Chocolate Chip Cookies! Wie kann ich das schnell ausbessern?

Ich habe gerade mein erstes Chocolate Chip Cookie Rezept ausgewählt und zwar dieses hier: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/12246/chewy-chocolate-chip-cookies
Doch als ich gerade eben die erste Ladung aus dem Ofen geholt habe, sahen die Cookies zwar super aus, jedoch schmeckten die viel zu viel nach Zucker. (Damit meine ich, dass ich teilweise auf die einzelnen Zuckerkörnchen rumbeißen konnte.)
Da ich den restlichen Teig nicht wegschmeißen will, brauch ich jetzt dringend eure Hilfe, was ich noch retten kann bevor ich schlafen gehe. Gerade eben habe ich noch ein bisschen mehr Mehl rein und ein bisschen Zimt, um den Zuckergeschmack weg zu bekommen... Auch habe ich noch ein Ei mit hinein. Hier ist die deutsche Überseztung für das Rezept, da das ja auf Englisch geschrieben ist:
Zutaten: 250g Mehl
2g Backpulver
170g Ungesalzene Butter
220g Brauner Zucker
100g Weißer Zucker
15ml Vanille Extrakt
1 Ei
1 Eiggelb
335g Chocolate Chips
1 Prise Salz
Zubereitung: Den Ofen auf 165°C vorheizen und das Backpapier ein wenig einfetten. Mehl und Backpulver sieben, Salz hinzufügen und Schüssel beiseite stellen. Zerlassene Butter, braunen und weißen Zucker in einer anderen Schüssel gründlich zusammen mixen und dann den Vanille Extrakt, das Ei und das Eigelb cremig rühren. Das Gesiebte aus der anderen Schüssel dazu geben und unterheben. Mit einem Holzkochlöffel die Chocolate Chips rein rühren. Cookie Teig auf dem eingefetteten Backpapier nach Größe und Anzahl nach Wunsch mit einem Abstand von drei bis vier Zentimeter verteilen. Nun die rohen Cookies für 15-17 Minuten im vorgeheizten Backofen backen oder bis der Rand leicht braun wird.
