Skinny love wurde nicht von bird geschrieben sondern von bon iver. Birdy singt nur ein cover. Von daher sollte man auch bei ihm schauen.

Er beschreibt dadrin eine beziehung in der man ist nur weil man hilfe braucht und er glaubt nicht dass das ist warum man eine beziehung haben soll. Das hat er in einem interview gesagt.
