London Bus bezahlen?

Hallo zusammen,

wir sind gerade in London und ich habe meine Busfahrt mit einer Visa debitkarte und meine Freundin mit ihrer Kreditkarte bezahlt. Hat gepipst. Abgebucht wurde noch nichts. Der Busfahrer meinte nach Nachfrage, dass wir mit der Karte nicht nochmal auschecken müssen. Die Fahrt würde regulär 1,40 Pfund kosten.

Haben wir was nicht beachtet?

How to touch in and out

Buses and trams

Touch your contactless card, device, or Oyster card on the yellow card reader at the start of your journey.

You don't need to touch out at the end of your journey. If you do, you may pay more than you need to.

Weiß ich nicht, habe das System selbst noch nicht genutzt, und unter https://tfl.gov.uk/fares/how-to-pay-and-where-to-buy-tickets-and-oyster/pay-as-you-go/contactless-and-mobile-pay-as-you-go finde ich auch keine konkrete Angabe dazu.
