Beides ist in verschiedenen Situationen richtig.
"I" wird benutzt wenn "you and I" das Subjekt des Satzes ist!! "Me" wenn "you and me" das Objekt ist!!
z.B.
"You and I will buy an ice cream"
aber
"The ice cream was given to you and me"
(oft wird umgangssprachlich "you and me" benutzt auch wenn es eigentlich ganz korrekt "you and I" sein sollte. Manche Leute benutzen auch "you and I" wenn es "you and me" sein sollte - das hört sich aber noch schlimmer an als anders herum)
Wenn du dir nicht sicher bist, denke einfach das "you and" weg. Hört sich dann "I" oder "me" richtig an?
(du würdest immer sagen: "I will buy an ice cream" und NIE: "me will buy and ice cream" und immer: "the ice cream was given to me" NIE: "the ice cream was given to I"!!!)
Zur Verwendung von "me" statt des korrekten "I" :
Sb. knocks at the gates of heaven.
St Peter inside: "Who is it?
Voice outside: "It is I." -
St. Peter: "Oh, another damn schoolmaster. Go to hell!"

ob es you and I oder you and me heißen muss,
hängt davon ab, wo I and you im Satz stehen.
Umgangssprachlich wird oft me verwendet, wo gemäß der Grammatik I verwendet werden muss, besonders wenn ‚eine weitere Person ins Spiel kommt.
Manche Leute verwenden ’I‘ statt ’me‘, weil sie wissen, dass ’me‘ manchmal falsch ist, aber nicht wissen warum.
Wieder andere greifen auf ’myself‘ zurück, was sich ziemlich geschwollen anhört.
Es ist aber ganz einfach:
Ich bin das Subjekt des Satzes,
aber das Objekt des Satzes ist ‚mir oder mich
Auf Englisch:
I am the subject of the sentence,
but the object of the sentence is me.
Im Zweifelsfalle, streiche einfach you aus dem Satz.
Beispiele:
Me (and you) went to a restaurant last night. (falsch)
I (and you) went to a restaurant last night.
(You and) me went to a restaurant last night. (falsch)
(You and) I went to a restaurant last night.
Peter has asked me and you.
Peter has asked I (and you). (falsch)
Peter has asked you and me.
Peter has asked (you and I) (falsch)
Übrigens ist es grammatikalisch nicht besser oder richtiger ‘you and I’ statt ‘I and you’ zu sagen. Es ist nur höflich.
Das habe ich irgendwann mal aus dem Internet übersetzt, weil ich die Erklärung so einleuchtend finde.

ichj glaub nicht aber ich würde you and i glaub ich vorziehen denn wenn man es wörtlich übersetzt heißt you and i du und ich und you and me du und mich
you and i benutzt man nicht. "me" ist die betonte form von i. ich hoffe ich konnte dir helfen
