ʿAllāmah Muḥibb al-Ṭabarī (d. 694/1295) and ʿAllāmah Zurqānī (d. 1122/1710-1) suggest that the perhaps the dowry was a combination of 12.5 Ūqiyyah (500 dirhams) and 20 camels. ʿAllāmah Nūr al-Dīn al-Ḥalabī (d. 1044/1635) suggests that perhaps the agreed dowry was 12.5 Ūqiyyah, however, its value was given in the form of 20 camels. These are all possibilities and it is difficult to say with certainty what the dowry was because of the conflicting amounts which are all based on historical narrations.
