Liedtext (Lyrics) von Bishop Briggs interpretieren?

Ich habe mir mal den Liedtext von River und von Wild Horses zu Gemüte geführt. Ich kann im Original und auch in deutscher Übersetzung nicht so recht interpretieren, was sie damit meint.

Hätte mich aber mal interessiert. Kann das jemand wiedergeben?
