Hallo,
- at the end (of) + Zeit oder Ort = Am Ende des, Am Ende von
Definition: the final part of a period of time, an event, an activity or a story
Beispiel: at the end of the week
- in the end = am Ende, schließlich, zum Schluss, letzten Endes usw.
1.after a long period of time or series of events
Beispiel: He tried various jobs and in the end became an accountant.
2.after everything has been considered
Beispiel: You can try your best to impress the interviewers but in the end it's often just a question of luck.
Das gilt auch für:
- At the beginning (of) + Zeit oder Ort = Zu Anfang des/r, Am Anfang von
- In the beginning = Zuerst

Also ich kenne es als "at the beginning". Du kannst es halt überall verwenden. Z.B. at the beginning of the year.... , at the end of his life.... etc.

Manchmal austauschbar, je nach Kontext.
