Aupair in der USA ohne Agentur nach meinem 1Jahr?
Hi, ich bin ein Aupair in den USA. Ich bin mit einer Agentur letztes Jahr hergekommen. Meine Gastfamilie und ich verstehen uns super und wollen verlängern, haben aber festgestellt die Agentur möchte wirklich viel Geld nur für die Verlängerungen. Mein Gastvater hatte mir ein Angebot Vorgeschlagen, dass ich auch ohne Agentur bleiben können und er würde meine Krankenversicherung übernehmen und auch alles was ich benötige da es im trotzdem noch billiger kommt. Wohne schon seit einer weile mit dieser Familie und weiß, dass ich ihnen Vertrauen kann. Nur wir wissen jetzt nicht wie die Regeln sind, da mein Visum im September abläuft ich theoretisch noch 1 Jahr bleiben könne ohne von der USA auszureisen (sagte mir meine Agentur) . Hat jemand eine Ahnung wie ich das machen kann da wir gerade das Internen durchforsten um Informationen zu finden für jemanden der schon in der USA ist wie ich jedoch nichts dergleichen finden…

Grundsätzlich kann das J-1 Visum für Aupairs 12 Monate verlängert werden.
ABER das geht nicht ohne SPONSOR. Dieser Sponsor ist die Organisation. Das kann zwar eine andere Organisation sein (die vielleicht günstiger ist), aber eben nicht eine Privatperson. Nur diese Orgas können das DS-2019 ausstellen mit dem die Verlängerung beantragt werden kann.
Hier aus den Bestimmungen für das J-1 Visum:
Yes, your program sponsor may extend your program up to its maximum length. If an extension is granted, a new Form DS-2019 will be issued to you reflecting the change.

Program Extension
The responsible officer has the discretion to extend a participant's program to its maximum regulatory duration, that is, to the limit imposed by the regulations specific to a program category or to a program sponsor's designation. A new Form DS-2019 reflecting the extension is issued to the participant. Extensions beyond the maximum program duration are allowed in some program categories for exceptional or unusual circumstances, with approval from the Department of State. To obtain approval for such extensions, the responsible officer must submit an electronic request that justifies the petition and provides supporting documentation to the Department of State on behalf of the participant. A nonrefundable fee of $367 is payable to the U.S. Department of State. Participants are referred to their responsible officers for additional information. [22 CFR 62.43]Adjustments
Um ganz sicher zu sein, solltest du die amerikanische Botschaft in Deutschland kontaktieren und dich erkundigen, ob du mit deinem Visum weiter als Au-Pair tätig sein darfst. Nur dort kann man dir eine sichere Auskunft geben.
