Sydney referat

Korrekturen: 4 million people live in Sydney.... Pacific Ocean....

Now I should like to call your attention to.... popular ... people....

Hast Du auch etwas über Bondi Beach? Etwas über die Bevölkerung von Sydney und Einwanderung? Über das KLIMA? Über die GESCHICHTE der Stadt?

mein referat :)

Today I'm going to tell you something about Sydney. Sydney is the largest and the oldest city of the continent Australia, and it's also the state capital of New South Wales. Four million peopel are living in Sydney and the peopel living there are called Sydneysiders. Sydney lies on the shores of the Pasific Ocean, which is a major trading route between the west coast of America and the Far East. Now i will draw your attention to a few major tourist attractions on the Australian continent. Probably the most pupular tourist attraction is the Sydney Opera House. Every year more than a million peopel come to see it..The 67m high building with its unique and impressing white shell or sail-like roof was opened in 1973 after solving many funding and architectural problems. It was designed by the Danish architect Jørn Utzon. The Opera House is in fact not a real Opera House which means that you can go and watch all kinds of performances there, for example drama, dance, concerts, cinema and also exhibitions and conferences. Some visitors are a bit disappointed by the inside of the building, but you can also have a great day without going into it. For example you can sit in one of the outside cafes or restaurants and enjoy the wonderful view over the Harbour. Another important attraction on the Harbour is the Harbour Bridge, from where the fireworks are lit on every New Year’s Eve. The bridge, that was built 59 m above sea level, was constructed in 1932 and was at that time an engineering triumph. It is the link between Sydney's city centre and the residential north and is also known as the "Coat Hanger". More than 150.000 vehicles cross the bridge each day.The Harbour Bridge connects of Sydney both districts with each other. It is found in the Guinness-book of records. 60 000 tons of steel, held together by 6 million screws. Eight lines for cars, run over the bridge. If you like you can climb over the bridge. Today, thousands of Sydneysiders and visitors to Sydney, climb over the Harbour Bridge.

For those who want to get to know Sydney's beach life, there are nearly endless possibilities around the Harbour, but the most popular beach can not be found there: Bondi Beach.

In my opinion, Sydney is a fantastic city to visit and a great place to live. Sydneysiders are friendly, open and do not forget their unique history. They are the ones who make this metropolis so special.

Thank you for listening..

Das klingt, finde ich, sehr lebendig und interessant. Ein paar kleinere Fehler fallen im mündlichen Vortrag nicht weiter auf.

Sag aber bitte: "If you like, you can climb the bridge" - kein "over". Und beseitige den Dreher bei den beiden Stadtteilen. Schreib: ..." connects both sections of Sydney". Vielleicht noch ein Satz zu Bondi Beach?

Gutes Gelingen! earnest
