First / Second British Empire - Genaue Daten?

Hey Leute, in Büchern und Internet stehen verschiedene Daten zum Ersten und Zweiten Britischen Empire...ich hoffe mir kann jemand helfen... Wann hat das erste britische Empire genau begonnen? Und wann war es zu ende? Und wie war es mit dem zweiten, dem Viktorianischen Empire?

The B.E. was the largest colonial empire in history. In Britain were two empires, one of them was called “First Empire” (1607-1776) and the other was called the “Victorian Empire”. It’s ending was in 1931,when it turned into the “British Commonwealth of Nations”.

Auch wikipedia weiß was zu dem Thema.

Sollten Onkel Google (frag-doch-google.de/) und Tante Wiki allerdings kaputt oder verreist sein, empfehle ich einen Gang in die Stadtbücherei.
