Hi, I'm from England and I did an internship with Furkidz in July 2013. I thought I would post my experience here too. I had a fantastic time at Furkidz. The internship is perfect for anyone who likes animals. You will be surrounded by dogs at the farm in Pretoria and want to get to know them all and help feed them and walk in the beautiful bush surrounding the house . It is good because you can use weekends to travel and visit interesting places such as Johannesburg, Pretoria and Pilanesberg National Park. You may also get the chance to stay in Cape Town, which is full of fun things to do and you can be more independent there. South Africa is a beautiful country and this internship gives you the opportunity to see the countryside and meet some fantastic people along the way. I made friends for life while working there for one month. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to do something worthwhile for a good cause and who wants to explore one of the most diverse and beautiful countries in the world.
