Ich persönlich würde es extrem abstoßend und alles andere als "cool" finden, aber dass kommt wie gesagt auf den Kerl an.

Mal abgesehen davon, dass es als Anfänger viel Leichter ist zuerst eigene Lieder zu machen, brauchst du so grob:

                         - zwei Studio Monitore (wahlweise auch Studio Kopfhörer),
                         - ein Audio Interface das deinen Ansprüchen genügt,
                         - ein Midi Keyboard, Größe und Zusatzfunktionen sind 
                           dir überlassen,
und natürlich:   - Einen funktionsfähigen Rechner.

Außerdem: Du solltest als Anfänger darauf achten das alle Elemente in deinem Song in der der selben Tonart sind. Das bringt dich gerade als Anfänger schneller zu besseren Ergebnissen.
