Frage zu Englisch?
Hi, kann das jmd korrigieren:
To start with, I want to tell you about slavery because slavery has been a very big part of American history. First of all, i will start to define the term slavery. A slave is a person who has no personal freedom. It is seen as the property of others.
Now I will tell u, how the slaves got to America in the first place?
The first Skaves were shipped from Africa to Cuba in 1526. More slaves followed in 1619 and that is why there were 600,000 slaves on the continent. American needed Slaves because they had to work on plantations like tobacco, rice and cotton.
The slaves were not considered human and had no rights. So it didn't matter whether they suffered or were tortured.
In 1807 there were first drafts banning the slave trade. The southern states, however, continued the slave trade.

"Today I want to tell you about slavery because slavery has been a very big part of American history. First of all, what is slavery or a slave? A slave is a person who is performing some kind of work, usually without any compensation, for another person - his enslaver - and is forbidden to quit his or her service for the enslavers, who treat their slaves as their property."
