Kann ich ein DisplayPort 1.4 Kabel auf einem Monitor mit DisplayPort 1.2 benutzen?

Hallo,

ich habe gestern meine neue GPU (ASUS NVIDIA GTX 1660 TI Dual Fan CO Edition).

Diese Grafikkarte unterstützt DP 1.4, jedoch steht bei meinem Monitor immer nur DP 1.2 (Samsung C49HG90).

Kann ich dort trotzdem ein DP 1.4 Kabel benutzen?

Ja, die entsprechende ISO-Vereinigung schrieb dazu:

DisplayPort versions are backwards compatible, no problem there.

070's DisplayPort 1.4 will work with 1.2v monitor.

Da gibt es kein Problem DisplayPort ist auch abwärtskompatibel
