parted installiert nicht auf Proxmox Server - was tun?
Guten Tag,
ich bin gerade dabei mir einen Homeserver einzurichten und ich brauche für die Festplattenpartitionierung das Programm parted. Wenn ich besagtes allerdings via Shell auf meinem Server installieren möchte, kommt nur folgende Nachricht:
"Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
Package parted is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package 'parted' has no installation candidate"
Was jemand wie ich das Problem beheben kann?

Ich habe das Problem gelöst: Ich musste nur in der Shell # apt update
eingeben und dann hat es funktioniert. Eventuell muss man danach noch sudo nachinstallieren (# apt install sudo).

Da steht doch genau, was das Problem ist: das Paket parted ist nicht verfügbar. Hast du vorher mal gemacht?
sudo apt update
Probier vor dem nächsten Installierversuch erst dies (als root) auszuführen:
apt update
und dann nochmal
apt install parted
wobei, rein für die partitionierung geht auch genauso gut fdisk oder cfdisk. fdisk ist sehr wahrscheinlich bereits installiert.
